Christopher Sayers, M.D.
Medical Director and Occupational Medicine Physician, La Porte
Dr. Christopher Sayers graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Sayers has over 17 years of experience in occupational and environmental medicine, and has been with Northwest Health Occupational Medicine for over 11 years working in our La Porte clinic. He is a certified Medical Review Officer, and is on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners for the Department of Transportation. Dr. Sayers also has special expertise with overseeing fitness for duty programs regulated by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Saligrama Ranganath, M.D.
Occupational Medicine Physician, Valparaiso
Dr. Ranganath has been practicing in the occupational medicine field for over 20 years, and has been with Northwest Health Occupational Medicine since 2011. He has completed residencies in both Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine, and has a Master’s in Public Health degree. Prior to coming to Valparaiso, he worked for Methodist Occupational Health Centers, working as the medical director at both the Ford (Indy) as well as the Honda (Greensburg) plants. He has worked for Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, IN, and was the medical director for the Columbus Occupational Health Association. Dr. Ranganath is also a federally certified Medical Review Officer.
Diane Trkulja-Castro, FNP-C
Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, Northwest Health Occupational Medicine Employee Health & Wellness
Diane received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Purdue University. Utilizing her degree she worked with physical medicine physicians using exercise science and health promotion to motivate patients to recover from injuries and learn healthy lifestyles. She received her bachelor’s in Nursing degree from Valparaiso University, and her master’s from Indiana Wesleyan University in Primary Care, Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. She spent eight years of her nursing career in labor and delivery. With her advanced practice degree, she concentrated on broadening her scope of nursing to family practice. She has been married 22 years, has three sons, and loves spending time outdoors with her family when not working.
Giovanni received his MS in physical therapy from Davao Doctors College in Davao City, Philippines, in 2013 and completed his physical therapy internship in a wide variety of settings. Before joining the Northwest Health Occupational Medicine team in 2018, he was a travel PT and worked in skilled nursing and acute rehab facilities in Hawaii, Texas, Chicago and several parts of southern Indiana. Prior to his travel career, he worked in home health, wound care, hospital inpatient and outpatient settings around northwest Indiana. He is a certified ergonomics assessment specialist, level I (CEAS), and is certified in instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, a regenerative manual therapy which aids in restoring dysfunctional tissue to pre-injury levels. Giovanni is currently pursuing qualification as a Certified Mulligan Concept Practitioner (CMP), which will further enhance his assessment and manual treatment skills applicable to spinal and extremity joints.
Todd Ellis, PTA, CEAS III
Occupational Medicine Physical Therapy Assistant/Ergonomic Specialist
Todd C. Ellis received an Associate of Arts (AA) in general studies from Indiana University with an emphasis in healthcare, and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in the physical therapist assistant program at Brown Mackie College, South Bend, IN. Todd has been with the Northwest Health Occupational Medicine Organization for over five years working in the inpatient/acute care, wound care, outpatient, and occupational service settings. He is a certified ergonomic assessment specialist II (CEAS II), certified clinical instructor (CI), astym certified and workwell certified to do job site analysis (JSA) and pre-work screens (PWS). His pre-healthcare background includes over 15 years of experience in construction and industrial/factory settings.

Leslie Schroeder earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science from Purdue University in Lafayette, IN and her OSHA Certification in 2001. She has over 20 years of marketing and sales experience working with nonprofits such as the La Porte County Convention & Visitors Bureau, volunteering her time with United Way and serving on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of LaPorte County.

Tammy Reibly received her Bachelor of Arts in Health Promotion from Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate wellness and 15 years of experience in occupational health. Tammy, who joined Northwest Health Occupational Medicine 2014, is a dynamic presenter and motivational teacher. In her capacity as Corporate Wellness Coordinator, Tammy is a wellness expert and is available to help you and your employees reach their full wellness potential through baseline and follow-up screenings, education, health coaching and programming.
